What this version covers
Version 1 covers the public, read-only BTBW website. The archive has no genuine public contributions yet. The website does not currently offer an active contact form, contribution form, account registration, or public sign-in.
A separate updated notice and approved contribution terms must be in place before BTBW opens authenticated contribution intake.
Information we may receive
- Basic technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser or device information, and security events. BTBW does not enable application analytics or Worker application logs for this release. Cloudflare may process limited edge and security metadata as part of providing and protecting the service.
- The first-party preference described in our cookie notice, which records only that this version of the notice was acknowledged and when it expires.
- Information you choose to send by email, including your address, message, and any attachments. Please do not email testimony or sensitive archive material while intake is closed.

We do not sell personal information, use it for behavioural advertising, or use it to make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Sharing and international transfers
For this release, Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, and edge security, and Google provides the monitored email service behind the public BTBW address. Those providers may process information in countries where they operate, subject to their terms and applicable transfer safeguards. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect people, rights, or the service.
How long we keep information
Cookie-notice acknowledgement data stays on your device for up to 180 days. BTBW does not enable Worker application logs for this release. Cloudflare aggregate Worker metrics may remain available for up to three months under the provider service; BTBW does not export them into a separate archive. Email records are retained only while needed to answer the enquiry, meet legal obligations, or manage a complaint. Information under a justified legal hold may be kept longer and access-restricted.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to be informed, access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability, and withdrawal of consent. These rights are not absolute and depend on why information is used.
Email btbw@vauwr.com with “Data protection request” in the subject. We will help you make a complaint, acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, and respond without undue delay. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
Changes to this notice
Material changes will receive a new version and effective date. Prior versions are retained in BTBW governance records. This notice will be reviewed before any contribution intake, optional analytics, embeds, or new collection starts.
